Project Title: Design and impact of an integrated multi-sectoral support program on health and social status for children in mining: formative study and evaluation for the "USAID Kizazi Kipya"

Project Description: This is operations research on the development and evaluation of an improved health and social service model for children in mining. The research will consist of formative phase in year 1, a process evaluation in year 3 and an impact evaluation stretching over 1 to 5. Key results from formative research part will be used to inform the development and work plan for the service package to be introduced and further scaled up from year... The research will consist of formative phase in year 1, a process evaluation in year 3 and an impact evaluation stretching over 1 to 5. Key results from formative research part will be used to inform the development and work plan for the service package to be introduced and further scaled up from year 2 onward. The baseline survey for the impact evaluation will happen at the end of the year 1, prior to implementation of services. This includes offering HIV VCT to research participants to quantify the unmet need of HIV services.
